If you copy an already synchronized slide and do not specify it as your own, the two slides will change exactly the same with each revision.
Why does that happen?
The explanation is simple. When you copy a synchronized slide, the two slides are automatically linked to each other so that any change made after an update is applied to both slides.
How to avoid this problem
The solution is somewhat unexpected, but not difficult.
- Select the copied but modified slide and go to “Save slides to Library”.
- Now you will receive the following message:
- To add a unique page, click on “Add 1 new slide to library”.
- Save the slide with your desired title, comment and in your folder of choice. Now this slide is independent from the original copied one.
